Prosthetics and oral rehabilitation

Prosthesis and oral rehabilitation can be done on teeth and implants.

There are different techniques and materials that allow us to select the type of optimal restoration for each patient and situation.

Porcelain veneers

Veneers are thin sheets of porcelain that are adhered to the most external part of the tooth and allow changing their shape, size, colour, position... with highly aesthetic properties, similar to natural enamel. Porcelain veneers are the dental treatment to achieve the best aesthetics possible.

Porcelain crowns

Porcelain crowns or caps completely cover the tooth and simulate all the external anatomy of the natural tooth. They can be made with porcelain only, or else with a core of another material to give it more consistency, such as aluminium oxide or zirconium oxide. They are used when a large amount of the dental tissue has been lost, for example, after a large cavity or trauma. They are also used in cases of teeth which have undergone root canals, in order to give resistance to the entire tooth and avoid possible fractures.

Prosthetics on implants

Dental implants are artificial titanium roots that we place after the loss of the natural teeth. Titanium is a material which is very biocompatible with the human body. The dental implants will allow us to chew with complete comfort, smile and talk with the same confidence as with our own teeth. In the structures that we place on the implants, we use computer-aided milling techniques, which allow a perfect passive adjustment.

In every implant treatment that we perform in the dental clinic, the prosthesis is fundamental, since the degree of comfort and functionality, in short, the final quality of the treatment, will depend on it. These prostheses can be fixed or removable. The removable prostheses are the simplest and most economical. A fewer number of implants are required for their realisation and they signify an enormous advance in comfort with respect to the conventional dentures.

The fixed prostheses are used for complete rehabilitations, when all the pieces are substituted at once, as well as for bridges of various pieces or for single pieces.
